You'll Never Walk Alone

This song is from the musical "Carousel". It is a very pretty song and I loved it so much I said, I HAVE to post this! Actually, one page of music is missing from this song, which I have not practiced. I just got this down so I am a little rusty! My Grandma gave me a music book with all the music from the Roger's and Hammerstein's collection. Music from, "Oklahoma", "The King and I", "Carousel, and others I can't think of right now. This piece is actually my Gram's favorite out of the whole book. :) I played it for her over the phone. :)Enjoy

Cat-astrophe!!!

Misty and Dotz, our two new kittens as you know. If you don't know, go to my older posts and look at the sweet pictures I have of them. Anyway, my Dad and I were going to the store yesterday, he had a air conditioner temperature tool in the car and when we got in it was 120 degrees! The car was SO hot! We got talking about how dangerous it was. Anyway, my Dad was in his truck cleaning it out and can you guess? Misty our grey little kitten hopped in the truck without anybody knowing. She was in there for a couple hours. It takes 2 to 4 hours for a small child to die in a hot car. We were surprised that she did not. My Dad opened up his truck, heard a weak Mew, and found her under the seat. So Dad brought her in and she was completely drenched in sweat panting and she looked half dead. All of us girls almost had a conniption. :) She drank A LOT of water, and she gave some pitiful little mews. It was almost the saddest thing I have ever seen. I am happy to report that she is doing better but she is not her normal self. Dotz (her brother) was so happy that she was back when we put her outside. They are buddies and almost NEVER leave each other's side. He started licking her and giving her love, it was so sweet. Poor kitty!

That's the latest at our house!
Has anything scary ever happened to your pet?

A favorite poem of mine!

Arise Woman Of God

Rise up O woman of God In what He has given you The things God has laid on your heart Rise up, go forth, and do

Unlock what God has placed within The potential you have inside The world is waiting for your release To expand your wings and fly

Arise in your God-given gifts For this is your finest hour Arise in the Lord’s holy might Ignited and empowered

For God is calling you to come forth To impact this world for Him Don’t hold back or limit yourself Let His power arise within

And take His message to the world To those that have lost their way For you can surely make a difference If you’d hear His voice and obey

You shall be strengthened in the Lord As you begin to arise Conquering those doubts that pull you downAnd believe who you are in Christ

For you shall surely be transformed As, in you, God increases more And become a woman of true excellence Bringing honour to her Lord

By M.S.Lowndes

Sorry about all the errors in this poem, I don't have time now and I cannot correct it!

English Language....

I found this off of a blog and loved it so much I though I would post it.

For your amusement: The English Language

We'll begin with a box, and the plural is boxes,
But the plural of ox becomes oxen, not oxes.
One fowl is a goose, but two are called geese,
Yet the plural of moose should never be meese.
You may find a lone mouse or a nest full of mice,
Yet the plural of house is houses, not hice.
If the plural of man is always called men,
Why shouldn't the plural of pan be called pen?
If I speak of my foot and show you my feet,
And I give you a boot, would a pair be called beet?
If one is a tooth and a whole set are teeth,
Why shouldn't the plural of booth be called beeth?
Then one may be that, and three would be those,
Yet hat in the plural would never be hose,
And the plural of cat is cats, not cose.
We speak of a brother and also of brethren,
But though we say mother, we never say methren.
Then the masculine pronouns are he, his and him,
But imagine the feminine: she, shis and shim!
Let's face it - English is a crazy language.
There is no egg in eggplant nor ham in hamburger;
neither apple nor pine in pineapple.
English muffins weren't invented in England .
We take English for granted, but if we explore its paradoxes, we find that quicksand can work slowly,
boxing rings are square,
and a guinea pig is neither from Guinea nor is it a pig.
And why is it that writers write but fingers don't fing, grocers don't groce and hammers don't ham?
Doesn't it seem crazy that you can make amends but not one amend.
If you have a bunch of odds and ends and get rid of all but one of them, what do you call it?
If teachers taught, why didn't preachers praught?
If a vegetarian eats vegetables, what does a humanitarian eat?
Sometimes I think all the folks who grew up speaking English should be committed to an asylum for the verbally insane. In what other language do people recite at a play and play at a recital?
We ship by truck but send cargo by ship.
We have noses that run and feet that smell.
We park in a driveway and drive in a parkway.
And how can a slim chance and a fat chance be the same, while a wise man and a wise guy are opposites?
You have to marvel at the unique lunacy of a language in which your house can burn up as it burns down, in which you fill in a form by filling it out, and in which an alarm goes off by going on.
And in closing, if Father is Pop, how come Mother's not Mop?

Jewlrey Time!

Okay, so I decide to FINALLY post pictures of my Swarovski crystal bracelets, and can you guess what happened? I DELETED ALL THE PICTURES! Arrrgghh! *Sigh*, Okay, I'm better. Are battery to our camera is dead, and we left the charger in our old home town. *Deep Breath*, better. So, you will not be seeing ANY pictures! But I will say I might be having a bracelet and earrings class this summer for some ladies and kids so that will be fun! The best Dad in the WHOLE world (my Dad of course) took me to the bead shop today and bought be earrings supplies and an EXPENSIVE tool. He is so thoughtful, and is ALWAYS thinking of us girls. I only needed a couple things but he said, " We better get this Too". :o) Love ya Dad. jewelry
