Baked Hamster~

A couple years ago my friend got a dwarf hamster! I would go over and just love on that little hamster! I thought that they were sooooo cute and sooooo much fun! I am not a bid rodent person either. It took about hmmm I would say a couple of years before I actually got one. I got him for a Christmas present about 2 years ago. I loved him sooo much. I named him Hammiechok which is Russian for hamster. Hammie for short. :o) He stayed in my room with me for almost 2 years. But recently I could not take the mess and the smell so I decided to move him into our back room. I moved him there about I would say 2 weeks ago. So the day before yesterday L took him out to play with him and he looked so terrible!!! His eyes were swollen and he was a skinny little hamster skeleton. He obviously was VERY sick. The poor think we had no idea what was wrong with him. So we called the pet store to see what was wrong with him and all they said was that he was getting old and he was probably going to die. I TOTALLY knew that was not the reason he was sick. Before I got my hamster I did MAJOR research on everything about them. After a little bit we realized that he was in a location with 2 windows where the shades were always open and in the HOTTEST room in the house. Plus he has a plastic cage which does not circulate cool air through his cage! Then I look up his symptoms on the computer and find that we are LITERALLY baking our poor hamster!!!!!!!!!!! We IMMEDIATELY moved him. Like 2 seconds after we moved him he started eating agian! WE WERE SOoOoOoOoO relieved. HE is now the most fat hamster you have ever seen. Hee Hee!

Here is a hamster tjp. NEVER PUT YOUR HAMSTER IN A HOT AREA! Or you will end up with a baked hamster! :o)

Fish heads falling from the sky???!!!

One day my Dad asked us girls to go rake some sticks in the yard. So we go get the wagon and the rakes and start getting to it. IT WAS SOOOO HOT!! I will never forget how hot it was that day. Anyway, L and I realize that there is a whole fish skeleton in the yard. We scream like girls when we see it. We could not figure out where they were coming from! My Dad thought that someone was throwing them out the window of their car into our yard or something. We then notice that 2 hawks live in the trees above where we are raking. They are getting fish from the lakes and bringing them to their nest to EAT THEM! We thought how cool is that!!!! So we now enjoy the beautiful hawks that we can sit outside and watch. But I DO NOT enjoy running over the smelly fish skeletons with the lawn mower! Ewwwww..... :)
