MY VERY FIRST QUILT BLOCK!

Well here it is!!!!!! My very first quilt block. I must say I am VERY proud of

it. Thank you so much MM for helping me do this block! I enjoyed doing it with

you. It was work but I enjoyed doing it. I of course picked a hard block to do.
I am glad I did it because I know that if I would have chosen the other choice
I wouldn't of been happy with my finished product. I cannot wait to
put the whole entire quilt together!!! That is going to be VERY exciting to
see. We watched Evan Almighty today and it was sooooooo cute! Anyone who
reads this GO AND WATCH IT!!!! Lol. Well today has been a looooong day so I will go
for now. Ta-ta,

Tiger's Lizard~

This is Tiger's lizard. If you are at my main blog page you can see a picture of her that I posted on the left hand side. In our living room we have a window and on both sides of the windows there are two long strips of glass. ONLY at night this cute little guy comes out AND IT DRIVES TIGER BONKERS!!!!!! Tiger stands just below the glass strip and watches him like a HAWK! Sometimes she even trys to jump and catch her. TIGER DOES NOT GET that the lizard is on the OUTSIDE of the glass. I even picked up Tiger and rubbed her paw against the glass to show her that she could not catch the lizard but the dumb cat doesn't get it. Lol. Poor Tiges she hurts herslef trying to get that lizard so BAD!!! I guess she is never going to get it. I must admit it IS HILARIOUS TO WATCH!!!!!! :o)

First Quilt Ever!!!!!

Well today my sewing instructor MM and I went to Joanne's fabric store to get some fabric for my quilt that I am making. I am sooooooo excited my words cannot even express it. I am totally ready to do it right now!! But I know I have to wait for a day until she can help me. My fabrics I must admit are totally GORGEOUS!!!! The fabrics are all Christmas designs so they are all pretty and gold and it feels like Christmas around here because we are all doing Christmas quilts! :o) I also should admit that I DID pick a block pattern that will take a lot of work to finish. But it is SO pretty that I know in the end I am going to enjoy having it so much. I am still not sure if I am going to give it away as a present for a friend or going to keep it. I think I will want to keep it after ALL the hard work I am going to put into it!!! :o) I love to sew so much and it really is FUN once you actually learn how PROPERLY to do it. Nobody ever really thinks about sewing as a hobby. It's more like only GRANDMA'S Sew..... Lol. I am glad that I learned how to do it by hand AND learned how to use the machine properly. Doing it by hand is great to know because then you can do all the small detail work which you CANNOT do on the machine. I will have to post a picture of my fabrics on here for you guys to see! They are SOOOOO GOREOUS!!!! I can't wait. <><

Baby Kate~

It is so funny because when your baby grows and you don't realize it. Kate is growing so quickly that we cannot believe it. It is happening SOOOOO FAST! She can now say more, please, Mama, Dad, gentle, dog, wow, and a couple more that I can't remember. Just today she walked like probably 20 or more steps for the first time. That was her REAL first walk. She usually takes just about 3 to 5 steps and that's it. But today she walked from the kitchen all the way into the backroom. She loves to eat with a fork but cannot actually get the food onto the fork. We help her out with that. When ever we mention the word horse or horsie she makes the clicking sound and bounces up and down. That is REALLY to die for. She knows who each of her family member are too. Which is pretty good since she just turned a year old 9 days ago. We love her so much and she is the best little sister. I hope to have more siblings too. They are so much fun! I didn't know at first how much fun they are going to be. I thank the Lord for her, she is such a blessing. I think she's a keeper! :o)

Well today my Mom hosted a FEEL BETTER kinda thing for a friend. It was so nice that the friend got to relax a little. I had to watch K up in Mom's room for like 3 hours. I think. She is SUCH a CUTIE PIE! I love her so much. She makes me laugh more than anyone I know. She flings her whole body on me and just lays there on me it is so HILARIOUS! Anyway, we had a good time watching her. The girls helped a little too. Now I am typing this and the women in the living room are SOOO LOUD!! Lol. It sounds like they are having a really good time. LORD OF THE RINGS RULES! We are so addicted to thse movies right now. Lol. THANKS B FAMILY! WE ARE ENJOYING THEM EVERY SECOND!!!! Although we have to BEG for 5 more minutes while we are watching them. Ha Ha!!!

TOTALLY FROM THE LORD!!!!!!!

A couple of hours after we got home from church, Mom said, "Why don't you put Lord of the Rings on for us to watch?" We all were so excited because we love the movies so much!! We put the first one on and started watching. A little after the movie started I asked my Dad if we could get the trilogy of Lord of the Rings on DVD for Christmas. I wanted the DVD set because we have them all on video. A few hours later L and I hear a knock on the door. We wonder who in the world could that be?!! We see our Pastor and his daughter (my best friend love ya C)!!!!!!!!!! We open the door and I attack her with a big hug! And what does she have in her hands? The whole trilogy of Lord of the Rings on DVD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I asked them if they knew we were watching it or something but they said no! Wow, the Lord can provide in so many different ways. He can give us wisdom, strength, peace, comfort, love, and kindness. HE CAN EVEN GIVE YOU THE LORD OF THE RINGS TRILOGY ON DVD! WOO HOO!! Lol.

Say it with me,

GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME!

ALL THE TIME GOD IS GOOD!

AMEN!!! <><

Sunday Afternoon~

Today has been a good day. We had church in the morning and it was a wonderful sermon. It was also nice to see all of our church family there. We came home and I cleaned the most dirty kitchen you have ever seen. Well maybe that is a little over the top. At least the kitchen wasn't like how it is after Thanksgiving dinner! I would PAY somebody to clean THAT mess up. Lol. All of the fam are now enjoying homemade cinnamon buns and watching Lord of the Rings. THE BEST MOVIES EVER IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THEM! We have been really relaxed today which is good. Because the 7th day the LORD RESTED! So we are resting and having a wonderful time doing so too! Ha Ha! :o) Have a GREAT DAY EVERYONE! <><

Baked Hamster~

A couple years ago my friend got a dwarf hamster! I would go over and just love on that little hamster! I thought that they were sooooo cute and sooooo much fun! I am not a bid rodent person either. It took about hmmm I would say a couple of years before I actually got one. I got him for a Christmas present about 2 years ago. I loved him sooo much. I named him Hammiechok which is Russian for hamster. Hammie for short. :o) He stayed in my room with me for almost 2 years. But recently I could not take the mess and the smell so I decided to move him into our back room. I moved him there about I would say 2 weeks ago. So the day before yesterday L took him out to play with him and he looked so terrible!!! His eyes were swollen and he was a skinny little hamster skeleton. He obviously was VERY sick. The poor think we had no idea what was wrong with him. So we called the pet store to see what was wrong with him and all they said was that he was getting old and he was probably going to die. I TOTALLY knew that was not the reason he was sick. Before I got my hamster I did MAJOR research on everything about them. After a little bit we realized that he was in a location with 2 windows where the shades were always open and in the HOTTEST room in the house. Plus he has a plastic cage which does not circulate cool air through his cage! Then I look up his symptoms on the computer and find that we are LITERALLY baking our poor hamster!!!!!!!!!!! We IMMEDIATELY moved him. Like 2 seconds after we moved him he started eating agian! WE WERE SOoOoOoOoO relieved. HE is now the most fat hamster you have ever seen. Hee Hee!

Here is a hamster tjp. NEVER PUT YOUR HAMSTER IN A HOT AREA! Or you will end up with a baked hamster! :o)

Fish heads falling from the sky???!!!

One day my Dad asked us girls to go rake some sticks in the yard. So we go get the wagon and the rakes and start getting to it. IT WAS SOOOO HOT!! I will never forget how hot it was that day. Anyway, L and I realize that there is a whole fish skeleton in the yard. We scream like girls when we see it. We could not figure out where they were coming from! My Dad thought that someone was throwing them out the window of their car into our yard or something. We then notice that 2 hawks live in the trees above where we are raking. They are getting fish from the lakes and bringing them to their nest to EAT THEM! We thought how cool is that!!!! So we now enjoy the beautiful hawks that we can sit outside and watch. But I DO NOT enjoy running over the smelly fish skeletons with the lawn mower! Ewwwww..... :)

Pirates~

Yesterday at 7:12pm on the dot my Dad, me, Rachel, and Lauren headed off to go see Pirates of the Caribbean World's End. We got their parked we were almost at the front door when we saw it!!! THE BIGGEST LINE!!!!! I asked my Dad I wonder what that line is for? Thinking maybe it was for the ticket booth or something. I was REAALLLY wrong. Lol. It was the line just to get into the movie. YIKES! We walked in the front door already having our tickets. and headed for the movie. When we saw how long the line was. We almost gave up! My dad said that he thought It would be better to go the next day so that it wouldn't be so crowded. We went to the ticket booth to get out new tickets for tomorrow. Thankfully my Dad asked if we would all be able to sit together. She said we would definitely be able to. The movie was on 4 theaters holding all together about 1000 people. WOW! Good thing my Dad asked other wise we would have been sitting at home watching Wallace and Gromit with Lauren! HeeHee! We walked and then walked and walked some more to the very very VERY back of the line. We all were laughing because it was so long! There were about 300 and over people in the line. We were the very last people in line. That's what we get for going to the one show of the night. The line went fast and we got into our theater. The movie was excellent. It was 3 hours long but WAY worth going. It had a little bit of everything in it! It made me laugh, cry, jump and shiver. A great movie! I recommend it to anyone who is lacking A-D-V-E-N-T-U-R-E!!!
Arrgghh matey's...

Day of Cleaning!

WOW! Today we have cleaned up quite a lot! We have our whole back room clean!!!!! It looks really nice and It's nice to come in and be able to sit and enjoy sitting in the new clean space. I cleaned up the screens outside from the windows. It started to POUR down on my head so I came in. We washed windows, Lauren did some dishes, Rachel cleaned the shelves that my Dad's smiley face mugs collection sits on. :o) Kate is soooo taken with those mugs! She will sit below the mugs and stare and wave both hands at them. It is so sad to see her do that. I don't know why you would think that it would be cute. Maybe because she thinks they are real because of the faces on them. I also helped my Dad out with the grout up stairs in the bathroom. I sure did get messy!!! At the start of today I felt a little grumpy when I heard all the work that needed to be done. After it is finished it makes you think WOW this was WAY worth it. Also to always have a joyful heart when working. It sure does help out a lot!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also you can spread joy to others. :)

Today really showed how responsible I am! I had to take care of Kate for a few hours while my Mom did a Baading class. I think I did really well. We played with some chalk outside with her. SHE LOVES chalk!!!!!!!! IT is so cute to see her draw with it on the ground. She was watching Lauren so carefully making sure she was doing it the correct way. After I gave her a bath and she had such a F-U-N time!!! Then we played Toontown on the computer together she loves that game. Then she got a little tired so I put her down to bed. She cried for just a little while and then she went straight to sleep. She is such a funny BABY!!! I enjoy every moment I have with her. Mom came home and her bead class was a success!!!!!! SHe ended up having a great time!

Another Day....

Well today my good friend Charissa and I woke up S-L-O-W-L-Y! We had stayed up very late watching movies... Mom made a really good breakfast eggs with cheese, ham, and onions. It was SO good. After breakfast Charissa helped me clean the kitchen. She is so nice to help me with my chores around the house. Then we went over to our next door neighbors house to play with her two dogs Jada and Dillian. Jada is completely blind it is so pitiful to watch her run into things!
:o( :o( :o(. After we played half a game of pictionary with my Mom and sister Rachel. The baby was fussy so we did not really get to finish. After that her Mom basically pulled up our driveway. I was sad because I have such a good time with Charissa when ever she is over and I hate to see her go. But.... THANKFULLY her Mom and my Mom talked for a bit. So we ended up spending a little bit more time together. :o) After Charissa had left we had lunch. Rice, beans, and chicken. It was great and I enjoyed it very MUCH!!!!! After that can you say CHORES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We did our chores and cleaned up from lunch. Mom looked over her beads for her bead class that's coming up. I just finished peeling some potatoes for dinner and can hear them boiling over as I type, be right back. They're good. :o) Charissa and I ended up having a FABULOUS TIME!

Piano & Sewing

Well today we had piano and sewing to do. We had a nice time with our sewing instructor. We didn't do any sewing this time. We just went over what projects we are going to do. Also what kind of fabrics, that kind of thing. After I had piano! It was nice to be able to be back. Since we have been away for a while. I learned some new things like 1&2 inversions and some other things. My teach Michael played for the first time for me and my Mom. He was AWESOME. It is really always neat to see someone else at a higher level than you are play. It gives you so much encouragement. So I had a nice time playing. I am home now and we are having hamburgers YUMMY!!!

3 tiered skirts~

Well Today Tiffany a woman from our homeschooling group came over with her kids to teach us how to make three tiered skirts. One of her daughters came wearing her skirt and it was the cutest thing. I was REALLY excited for Lauren. Mom made Lauren's skirt this time and Rachel and I are going to make ours another time. Mom learned how to do everything so I guess we will be learning from her. I took care of Kate while Mom learned how to do it. I checked in with her now and then to see how it was going. She did SUCH a good job!! I was VERY proud of her since it was her first time using a sewing machine. She said I AM SO NERVOUS! HeeHee! That's exactly what I said when I first used one. We are SO SO SO the same! Anyway, Mom didn't finish the skirt completely but you could see how good it was coming along. She had already made about three tiers when I came in and looked at it. It was sooooooo cute! She picked out some pretty blue and blue floral print. It is going to look so cute on Lauren when it is finished. Tiffany took it home with her so that she could finish it. Mom was ALMOST done but Tiffany had to go so they decided to let her take it home with her to finish it. I cannot wait to make one for myself they are totally to DIE FOR!!!!!!!!!!!

~Little Sister Kate~

The Newest addition to the family.....

Catherine (Kate)

As my Dad picked me up from the house to take me to the hospital to see my new little sister Kate. I was quiet the whole way there. Something came over me it was like I didn't know what to say really. Just pure EXCITEMENT. We entered the hospital doors and I really had to hold myself from SCREAMING of pure excitement. As my Dad opened the door to my Mom's hospital room, I really did not know what to expect. A new baby a part of our family??? Could this be so????? It was so... It was real. I saw my beautiful Mother sitting there with a little bundle in her arms. I was so ready to see what she looked like. My Mom said "Hi babe". (That's what she always calls us girls). I said hi to her. She said would you like to hold her. I think you can guess what I said. :) I took her in my arms and I really was speechless. She was so beautiful. She had dark hair and dark sparkly eyes. I smiled at Mom and said she was beautiful. She really was beautiful. She has been the light of my life every since she came home from the hospital with Mom. She brings me joy every time I see her. When I get up in the morning feeling a little bit grouchy. I come down stairs and come into the room, and I see that face smiling so big at me it really is impossible to be grouchy at that time. She has now MASTERED climbing up the stairs all by herself. I thought I was going to die when I saw her on the first landing of the stairs clapping her hands and with the biggest look of self accomplishment you have ever seen. She wants what ever YOU have. If you have an ice cream cone in your hand you better be giving Kate some of that. There is no tricking that baby either. There is NO trying to hide your ice cream cone from her. Because she knows it's there. I feel so loved by her and so appreciated by her. When she gets hurt she looks up at me and holds her arms out to me. When she wants ME instead of somebody else. All of her wonderful "baby" things that she does now. Just makes me MORE AND MORE anxious to have children of my own. I love that Baby and I am sure that you can tell!! :P
